Fishing types: Fly or Spoon?

Not so long ago, those who would choose to fish in Tierra del Fuego were spoon or spinning fishing enthusiasts. For its practice it is recommended a short rod, different varieties of spoons, a medium-sized reel and a 0, 30 mm of nylon with the capacity of a long distance shot from 15 to 20 mts. The spoon is a metallic lure with hooks that as the angler picks up his line, generates movements underwater and it seems that there is a living fish.

Nowadays there are more and more fly-fishing or fly-casting lovers. This activity needs previous learning as well as a previous study of the surroundings where to fish in Ushuaia. It is used a flexible rod for a line 8 and dark-coloured spoons due to the fact that they are very similar to the small fry that trouts eat.

So, we put a lure in the extreme part of the line simulating an insect.

We will make it fly or lean on the water´s surface in the most natural way so we can deceive the trout and make it think that it is his food.

This type of fly-fishing, implies a great dedication and a major sport challenge for those who are fond of fishing trouts. It is a personal non-delegable practice. A great part depends on the correct election of the fly, on the observation of the surroundings (so you can detect what the trouts are eating), and on the well-technique and use of the rod.
